Few More Bugs Targetted!

Having experienced a patch acceptance recently, I was in a good mood to continue my contribution to WordPress-meta and that happened when I found (in the meta-trac) #574.

As mentioned by Ian on the ticket description

It’s normal for CampTix installations to get a significant number of failed registrations (i.e., Attendee posts with theFailed or Timeout post status). Often times the user will try again later and successfully register, but sometimes they don’t try, or they try several times and can’t get it working at all

Camptix Plugin by Automattic, currently has an inbuilt tool to notify only the published(i.e. completely registered) attendees.

#574 is an enhancement to that and talks about ability to Notify the failed registrations as well. So that they may be helped accordingly and can then eventually register.

I have added a patch to that about 2 weeks ago. Now waiting for appropriate response and then I can make the changes.

I am planning to launch it wrapped in a plugin even if its not accepted in the core plugin update but that is only after considering the changes suggested and the feedback  I get over the patch.

Let’s see.

You can download the Camptix Plugin here.
